AirPods could be bundled free with iPhone 8 according to new rumour.JPG

MacRumors reports on a lengthy report from JPMorgan about Apple’s forthcoming iPhone line-up, sourced from Apples Asia-Pacific region supply chain. One of the many claims made in the report is that AirPods will be bundled with the iPhone 8 as a free accessory. Should this turn out to be the case, however unlikely, given that AirPods cost $159 to buy, they will most likely replace the EarPods with Lightning connector that is bundled with the current iPhone lineup. It’s possible that they will only be bundled with the most expensive models of the iPhone 8, which are expected to retail at more than $1,000.

Many of the other iPhone 8 features mentioned by JPMorgan in this latest report have already been widely rumoured, including a bigger battery, wireless charging, and 3D-sensing facial recognition technology. However, JPMorgan does have a couple of new snippets of information, such as that the iPhone 8 will have an “enhanced receiver” with “further improvements” to the stereo sound and waterproofing, with the earpiece said to be more waterproof than previous versions.
