Restore/update

I have iphone 4s which was unlocked,i am currently on iOS 6.0 and i want to update it to the current version,but i am not sure on one thing...is the phone going to be locked again?! Because i want realy to update!! Help ASAP

It depends on what kind of unlock you're relying on. IMEI/carrier/factory unlocked devices are permanent. Interposers are restricted based on iOS, device, baseband or all 3. Then if you got it from a shady guy in the corner somewhere, it might just be a temporary unlock.
