Recovering photos

hello, I deleted some photos about a year ago off of my iPhone 6 that I didn't realize until recently. Is there any way to get these back if they were not backed up?

I'm afraid not. Deleted photos are sent to the deleted folder in photos, where they can be recovered but this is only for 30 days. After the 30 days is up, the photos are permanently deleted and can't be recovered.
