Playlists won't shuffle

in Music on my iPhone SE, my playlists won't shuffle, no matter how many times I hit the shuffle button. Just keeps playing the same song endlessly.
Anybody else had this problem or know how to fix it. Running the latest version of IOS 10.

It sounds like you have an album or artist selected that only has one song associated.

Look at your screen, does it show the album art like this?

If it does tap the little gray down arrow/chevron at the top then hit artists or albums at the top

Then either select a different artist or album, or tap Library at top

and you can select all songs, albums etc.

Thanks for your answer, I've managed to solve the problem quite by chance - swiped up and discovered the Shuffle and Repeat buttons I didn't know were there! Took it off repeat and on to shuffle and all good, LOL.
