Photos

I have noticed since the upgrade(I have 4s) that some photos show in the photo gallery but when you tap it to show single picture it is black,nothing there. And sometimes they just show black in the gallery. Which is not cool since we were just on vacation,took pictures, and then figured that out after the fact !
Is there some setting I should change or why is this happening?
Anyone else have this problem?

Hard reboot the iPhone. You can do this by holding down the Standby/Power Button with the Home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears.
