One of the most popular online payments services, PayPal, has plenty of iPhone users who prefer to send and received payments directly from their mobile device. Many of them have been complaining with regards to the fact that the fingerprint authentication method was still missing, but the company has finally fixed the issue.

PayPal’s official iPhone app in the App Store has been updated with support for Touch ID authentication. It took the company quite a while as Apple first introduced fingerprint scanning with the iPhone 5s in the fall of 2013.

After getting the updated version, you can enable the new feature in settings and this will allow iPhone users to authorize app access easily and securely with their fingerprint. Besides Touch ID support, the new version of PayPal’s iPhone app comes with various bug fixes, as well.

The app currently supports an iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 7.1 or later. At the moment it still doesn't work quite well with iPads and native iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus resolutions, since these are not natively supported.
