"Pages" - can I create a text and save it as a .txt file?

I am on iPhone SE 2016 and IOS 15.7.2.

Welcome to iPhone Forums!

After creating a document in Pages, go to the icon at the top right (circle with three dots), select “Export”, and choose “Plain Text”:

Then share and save it to the Notes app on your iPhone. You’ll find it as .txt file in the Notes app afterwards.

Thanks - but under Export I only have PDF, Word, EPUB, RTF and Pages Template?

Whoops - my Pages app needed updating - I have done it now and Plain Text is there as a new option!
