Notifications

I have a 5s phone on BT mobile with the phone notifications turned off
I have two numbers blocked, when they try to ring I get a text saying "you missed a call from phone num,ber xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx they didn't leave a message.
Is it possible to stop this happening?

Hi Paul, To stop receiving notifications re messages from blocked or not in contact list callers, you need to go to Messages in settings and turn on Filter unknown senders.

Are the numbers block on BT or using the iPhone's block? When I block a number using the iPhone block, I get no notice of a call at all and it also,blocks texting from that number. If voice mail is left that is recorded but it goes to a blocked voicemail section and I get no notice that it has been activated.
