New video emerges of iPhone X in the wild.JPG

9to5 Mac writes that a new video of what looks very much like an iPhone X in the wild has been posted on Reddit. You can also clearly see in the video how Instagram does not fit in particularly well with the notorious notch that houses the 3D camera array, among other things. It really shows up quite starkly against the white background. The comments underneath the post say that Instagram has not been optimised for the notch yet. Another commenter, app developer “zacwest,” said that testing his app on iPhone X has caused him “ a handful of problems in Portrait and about a million problems in Landscape,” adding, “Even if you do everything exactly as Apple wants, there’s going to be issues. The API to handle the notch “correctly” (safe area) is new in iOS 11. There’s no way to have pre-emptively written to support it. Readable layout guides get you some of the way there, but only in landscape and not really. Day 1 iPhone X users are in for problems in most apps.”

A TextEdit icon can also be seen on the Home screen, but that’s a frequent occurrence on test iPhones and iPads, so most likely it won’t be launched publicly.
