New Apple TV Billboards are Popping Up Across the U.S.

Several Apple TV billboards have been showing up across U.S. cities. They utilize the SMPTE color bars, which is the television test pattern. These billboards went up practically in unison across the country and follow video commercials released last week from Apple with a similar theme.

We aren't sure how/why this is supposed to entice people to get an Apple TV, but the SMPTE bars are a loose connection. The ads show up differently as well. Some are huge and vertical, (as can be seen above), while others are smaller and horizontal.
