added a new song to my itunes library today, noticed that a lot of the songs had "tags" I wanted to delete, so on my PC i fixed all the songs, then went to itunes and deleted all the music from the library(since it was before the edits), then I added the new edited music back, sync'd, and insted of deleting the old music from the device, it just added it. So now I have 2 copies of everything on my device.

If I delete all the music from the itunes, and sync, then 1 copy of all the songs goes away, and itunes thinks I have 0 songs, when I actually have over 2 gigs.

I know I can delete the songs 1 by 1 from the device but please tell me there is an easier way

Any ideas?

Thanks guys

BTW I have already tried:
Respringing
Rebooting iphone
Restarted iTunes

And I can't RESTORE due to the fact that Apple isn't signing 5.0.1

Go to Settings> General> Usage> Music

Swipe music to delete all content in the Music.app at once.

This may be an old one but it just saved me from total frustration. Thanks for easy to follow, and very effective way, instructions. Got rid of a whole stack of mistakes in one move!
