People have successfully used this app to find their lost or stolen iPhone.

Should also note... the iDevice in question must be running iOS 5.0 or later & "Find My iPhone" must be turned on via the iCloud menu in your iDevice's Settings. Only them can the iPhone be located using the Find My iPhone app.
