I have previously synced my Outlook contacts into my iCloud account. As an afterthought I turned Contacts off in iCloud settings. Now I'm experiencing remorse and would like to turn it back on. When I go to do this I get a warning that states "The contacts you previoiusly synced with your PC will be merged with iCloud." I've read of people having problems with duplicate contacts entries. Does this mean that if I continue with this merge that I will get duplicates of all my contacts?

Okay, just in case anyone searches this someday...
I bit the bullet and gave it a try. No duplicates. Everything's back to normal.

Hi guys. I'm not sure what Dave's experience was, but if you do turn your Contacts back on in your iCloud settings on your iPhone when it asks you if you "...want to merge.." your contacts with iCloud, believe me it will create duplicates. So DON'T, if you don't feel like going back and clearing up another couple of thousand duplictaes. APPLE staff wake up!!!!!! Your iCloud does not work properly, NOT EVEN with your own iPhones, much as we would like it to.
