Here's news that will make all iPhone supporters happy. Back in 2011, the Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division rolled out Blackberry Bold phones to it's Investigators. The carrier was Sprint. This was the result of Sprint being the lowest bidder. There's some speculation that the person who was responsible for the procurement got a promotion for saving money by going with Sprint and a substandard device that was already past its prime.

Anyway, after 5 years of poor performance, dropped calls, lousy device support, and Sprint's obvious lack of infrastructure investment, the contract with Sprint has been terminated.

Next month, the agency will be rolling out the iPhone 6 on Verizon to all its investigators. This is a major score for VZW as they have just picked up over 1000 new accounts.
