locked or not?

I have searched the forum to see how to determine if Iphone 3g is locked? I have Straight talk sim and service switched from old phone. Still not working. I downloaded the unlockit to create the APN and still not working. Help please.

If your device is factory or carrier unlocked, after a restore, it should say Congratulations that your device is unlocked. If your device is jailbroken, if you have UltraSn0w installed and your baseband meets the requirements, you're unlocked.
