You'd need an accessory sunshade to keep the direct rays of the Sun from hitting the lens. There are several manufacturers of accessory lenses for the iPhone, one of them may also make a sunshade. Without a sunshade, the only way to eliminate the flare is to not aim the camera too close to the Sun.
