Hey fellows my buddy wants to crack his 3GS but i'm not too sure which to use to JB? he has 4.3 and band i believe it's 5.16 if anyone can refresh me or shed some light i'd appreciate it thanks..

he would need to use redsn0w to jailbreak that firmware, does he need unlock?

I would try just goin on safari on the iPhone and going to jailbreakme.com and just hitting install cause I'm pretty sure he updated it so it works with the latest iPhone firmware version.

no it does not work on the latest version, 4.2.9 or 4.3.4

How did you jailbreak it? What tool did you use? Was it a tether jailbreak or an untether jailbreak?

I just went to jailbreakme.com I guess comex or whatever his name is updated the site cause it's untethered

Are u sure that you've untether jailbreak iOS 4.2.9 using jailbreakme.com??? Are you sure? Because it shouldn't be feasible at all, or at least at the moment.
