iTunes backup password incorrect?

I just performed a backup of a users i4 through iTunes..start the Restore from Backup, enter password and get message that backup password is incorrect. ugh! I know password is correct...anyone else experience this annoyance? If so, how did you get around it?

The password to the backup is different from that of your AppleID password. There's no way to bypass the encrypted backup as if it was possible, it would defeat the purpose of having an encrypted backup
