I’ve heard that this armoury is the only one of its kind to survive to the present day.

I don’t think it is the only one. After all, I’ve seen at least one armoury before, in Forchtenstein castle, but it’s way smaller.
The Styrian Armoury is the world’s largest historic armoury, with more than 30 000 objects.
