iPhone / iPad email

I have several email accounts set up on iPhone. And have post set up so went I delete from iPhone it is suppose to delete from server.
Then a couple of same accounts are also on iPad.
So why went I delete on iPhone do there still download on iPad. Why didn't it delete from server and therefore it shouldn't have downloaded on iPad.

I have the same problem. I even checked off delete from server when deletes from inbox. I would also appreciate it if anyone has the answer to this.
