Iphone and Ipod

Hi all, Im new here so appologies if this is not in the correct thread. My wife has an iphone 4, my kids all have ipod touches.

I have synced up the Iphone on my laptop and all fine. I then sync up the ipod on the lap and all of the settings and i cloud settings appear on both devices (even though they both have seperate accounts etc).....

I have 2 questions.

1 how do i stop this from happening?
2. How do i get the settings on the IPHONE back as the phone now has all of the i cloud account information from the IPOD?

Settings> Store> Sign out by tapping on the email then sign back in with the right account. Maybe the iPod is logged into the same account.
