BGR writes today that according to a BlueFin Research Partners note that was seen by Barron’s, there is currently no delay in component ordering for the new iPhone line-up. However, what BlueFin refers to as “iPhone X,” or the iPhone 8, as many have been calling it until now, will only be available in limited quantities when it goes on sale in September as only 13 million units are being manufactured for launch, which is 5 million less than BlueFin’s original forecast in March. BlueFin adds that there will be “improved availability in October.”

BlueFin goes on to say that by the end of the year and on through to mid-2018, iPhone X will account for 55% of iPhone manufacturing. The analysts also state that in 2018 all iPhones will have OLED displays, and that Apple and its manufacturing partners are stockpiling OLED display parts “in order to satisfy what appears to be an insatiable demand for the OLED phone(s).”
