AppleInsider reports that it has heard from sources familiar with Apple’s plans that the 2015 range of iPhones, possibly to be called iPhone 6s, will keep the same screen size as the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, so those who called for a smaller iPhone will be disappointed, for now, at least.

AppleInsider’s sources also say that the new phones will have Force Touch, which is a new technology first introduced as an Apple Watch feature last September when the watch was first announced.

Force Touch means that different forces of touch could deliver totally different tactile sensations for different features, such as a tapping sensation for a message notification. Apparently it was even considered for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but was pulled due to “calibration” issues.

AppleInsider’s sources have also poured cold water on the rumour of a two-camera system in the next iPhone line-up, saying that would mean a major chassis redesign, which is not thought to be on the cards.
