    Hi,

Please can someone help with a problem with my iPhone 5S. I've fitted a new battery, yet when I plug in the charging cable, the battery icon shows the lightning bolt, but the charge level does not increase. I have tried various Apple chargers and USB leads and I've also downloaded an App that states it is charging.

I replaced the old battery because I thought it was dead, but it obviously wasn't receiving a charge.

    Any ideas please?

Could be the battery meter needs calibration. Run the battery down until the phone turns itself off. Then plug it in without turning it on. That should do it.

I wouldn't expect any 5s to have a worn out battery. Mine gets hammered and is still going strong.
