iPhone 4S Time Display

I've just upgraded from a 3G to the new 4S and have a question regarding the time display on the screen. I have 24hr switched off however it displays my time with a 0 at the start if it's earlier than 10:00am or pm.

eg: it dislpays 06:45pm instead of 6:45pm. Any ideas? I know it seems trivial but I just find it annoying...

Also, when I'm typing a text message, on the 2nd page I have a pound sign instead of a dollar sign $. I've tried switching between US and UK keyboards but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Any ideas?

i think you should turn off short key in your keyboards
