iPhone 4 Unlock and Jailbreak

I have an iPhone 4 on the o2 Network.

The iPhone model is A1332, on iOS 5.1 and Baseband 04.12.01

I want to unlock the phone. I can tethered jailbreak the phone without any problem.

Can anyone help me at all please?

I don't have and SHSH blobs for any versions of iOS on this device.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Is it possible to downgrade to iOS 5.0.1 and if I do will I be able to flash the baseband? Or even have the baseband chip replaced?

If you have SHSHs available for 5.0.1 it is possible to downgrade w/ a custom firmware. However, there is currently NO way to downgrade Baseband. Chances are... there never will be.

You can downgrade to 5.0.1 provided you have your SHSH saved for that firmware, but downgrading firmware does not downgrade baseband. Now that you're on the 04.12.01 baseband you are stuck there, sorry.
