iphone 4 repair problem

My iphone 4 16gb home button and power buttons stopped working making the phone unusable.. I followed videos detailing each repair and put the phone back together fully making sure all connections were on properly. Its now:

Will not turn on
And
Will not show up /connect to itunes.

Any ideas on the problem would be greatly appreciated thank you

Did you check connection? Maybe you forgot link Home button with motherboard? And this same with power button. If it works i think you forgot link or you broke connection tape.
