The Chinese PanGu team is great when it comes to releasing public Jailbreaks swiftly after firmware releases. Although iOS 9.0.2 is the latest firmware folks are able to Jailbreak, some still have hope that we will see yet another public release before iOS 10.

Well-known iOS hacker Luca Todesco tweeted out a screenshot today of what looks to be Cydia running on iOS 9.2.1. The crazy this is that iOS 9.2.1 is still in beta, so is this tweet hope for a public release of a more recent Jailbreak?

Unfortunately no. While it looks like Todesco was able to Jailbreak to beta firmware, the tweet was packaged with a message says "No releases." This is unfortunately for folks who have updated to a firmware later than iOS 9.0.2, however this also gives hope that these exploits might be used in a Jailbreak for iOS 10.

I don't think we'll ever see a jailbreak of a beta iOS version released to the public as it would waste exploits that could be better used in future jailbreaks of a publicly released iOS version. The main reason why I believe this is that beta releases have built in expiry dates and any device running the beta software will cease to work after the beta software expires, necessitating a restore of the device in question.
