Image won't appear in Email...?

Howdy,

For quite a while, I have used a logo jpg as part of my Desktop Email client sig, and it always displayed properly when I looked at email sent from that client to my iPhone 4.

Today, I chose to use a slightly different version of the logo in my Desktop email sig.

To test it, I sent a message to myself, and viewed it on my iPhone.

To my surprise, it did not display at all. Instead, it appears as a black rectangle.

In the past, these logos looked fine on the phone, but I can't figure out what might be causing this display difficulty.

Hello again,

I just checked the image on my phone again, and in fact, the logo does display but it displays with a black background.

The logo is in blue and red and is on a white background.

So, I guess I have to restate my original question:

What might cause an image that has a white background to display with a black background on my iPhone 4...?
