The right mentality and determination as well as interest, money and a lot of time. Find books about Xcode, Cocoa and Objective-C and learn from that. The start taking apps apart to see how they work. While doing this, look for a book to make your holy bible, a book that's your go-to for any questions. Or if you're like me, just start ripping it all out of books you've read or articles you've seen, compile your little notebook/binder, and carry that around. After every page that I finish up, I laminate the page and put it back in the mini binder. Leave it with my Hackintosh or bring it with me wherever I go.
