I Had a 6 which worked fine, switched carriers and now have a 6s that is a piece of garbage.

my 6 had 2 apps, phone and messaging. 6s keeps popping up something about a update for Japanese transit ????

something called Siri won't shut up, and my slide screen is gone. I have no clue what iCloud, iTunes, or iBooks is ?

theres a blank white face next to my contacts? Can't delete it?

The battery goes dead is less than 1hour.
My weather is setup for Santa Clara California and I'm in Pennsylvania.

And it keeps asking fora Apple ID password, which I don't have.

I don't play any games, listen to music, take pictures or anything else.

How do I delete everything except the phone app?

Welcome to iPhoneForums, Morganfd!

Is this a new iPhone, or did you buy it from someone else? Your information about the password request sounds like you got it from someone else, who still has it connected to his iCloud ID.

It's not possible to remove every built in app. Some of them, like Health, Clock, Wallet or App Store, to name just a few of them, can't be deleted.

An iPhone 6s shouldn't lose it's charge within an hour. If there's an Apple Retail Store near you, visit it, and show them your iPhone. They'll be able to tell you why it's depleting so fast.

If you really want an iPhone with only the phone app present, which is not possible BTW, you'd be wasting your money on an expensive smartphone loaded with features you'll never use. Maybe the iPhone is not for you.

Maybe you could return the iPhone 6s and go back to your old iPhone 6 and be happy again.
Can you say what iOS it is running?

@scifan57 has a point. The iPhone is basically a computer and has the ability to perform a wide range of tasks. With this variety of capabilities comes complexity. I'm wondering if you'd be better off with a flip phone - one that has phone and messaging capability and not much else.

What's puzzling me is the fact that there is no mind boggling different between the 6 and the 6s.
I am looking forward to the OP replying.

It does have Force Touch though!

I will have to ask Siri to explain the magic of touch to me [emoji336]

Thanks for all the replys, phone is new, less than a week old.

I've never had a password for apple or iCloud.

iOS is the new 10 which may be the trouble, I was on the 9 with old phone.

I did figure out how to delete all the apps that were deleteable..

How do I get the slide screen back, keeps going to some page about a widget.

And what's the Edited - watch your language S stand for ?

Maybe I could switch it back to iOS 9
Idk

I do agree about maybe getting a old style flip phone..

Think that would meet my needs better.

Then I can crush the 6S with a sledgehammer.

Might not be too bad now, only apps left are settings
Wallet
Health
Phone
Safari
Messages

And I'd delete wallet, health and message apps if I could.
