How to download ringtones to I-phone

Hi, Thanks for welcoming me to your forum. I just got the new I-phone 4 and haven't a clue how to do many things. I'm learning, however. My question is how to create a ringtone out of the music I have downloaded in my I-phone? Make sense? I've downloaded several apps. this morning but they were way too hard. Appreciate any help. I'm not a teenager so, these things come a little harder for me.

all you have to do is go into your itunes library chose a song you want as a ringtone and then right click and convert to aac and then from the .m4a rename it to .m4r and make sure the file is under 30 seconds, there are plenty of audio editors i am sure you know and might already have one and then add it to your ringtones library in itunes and it will load in the ringtones section, also if you jailbreak you can make the songs over 30 seconds and upload them via SSH

or you can use the itunes store and buy ringtones.. either way ..
