So I was downloading some new apps and stuff from Cydia and later on I noticed in my status bar a icon I have never seen by my battery %. It looks like a lock with a circle around it. What is it???

It's the portrait orientation lock. Just double tap your home button and scroll your finger to the right and you'll see the toggle for it.
