G5 Verizon

I am due an upgrade from Verizon and can't decide if I should wait for the G5 or not. I've been told that the G4 supports Safari exclusively. Does anyone know if the G5 will support Firefox ?

I'm not that familiar with the iphone but everyone I know loves them ! I want to be able to Skype.

There's no guarantee the iphone 5 will even come to verizon. It likely will not be a 4G phone.
