Downloading iTunes

I just bought the iphone 4 and tried to download iTunes so I can open the phone.

Got this error messsage:

Microsoft VC80. CRT, version"8.0.50727.4053", type="win32",publickeyToken= "1fc8b.3b9e.183b", processor Architecture= "X86"
please refer to help and Support for more information HRESULT: 0x80070BC9

I am new to both the iphone and iTunes and have no idea what this message means.
Can anyone tell me how to get iTunes downloaded? My pc is an HP Pavilion 9700 using Vista Home Users

what browser are you using? try using ie or chrome maybe ff... Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes Now
