I was trying to find the time/date on a photo in my camera roll. I did not see any way to check from the phone what time the picture was taken.
I thought it time stamped every photo.

Would I have to use iTunes and download the photo to the computer to get that information?
I would like to be able to just check it from the phone.

You don't see a date/time stamp on photos in the Photo app. But, there are plenty of apps in the AppStore that will let you view a photo's data.

I use the [free] app "Photos Exif" (link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photosexif/id427157697?mt=8). With it, you can tell the date, time and other data about the photo.

Here's what data you get with Photos Exif.
