I'm a newbie and I have had my iPhone for about 3-4 weeks. I purchased this 6 plus used, unlocked, set to factory defaults. I have been very pleased with it. But, one thing I've noticed:
Originally, the battery lasted a LONG time before needing to be recharged.
Now, it seems to go down pretty fast. I'm sure part of the reason is that I am using it much more, trying new things. Also, I have accumulated quite a few useful apps. But I also suspect that perhaps I am too free with notification/location services and maybe some apps (many) are still running after I've used them.

Any hints or suggestions on getting better battery "mileage."?

Go to settings - battery and you can see what apps are eating battery life. Use this to decide which apps need to be brought under control
