Can't Find an App for Apple Maps

I own the older iPhone 3Gs and my friend has the more-recent iPhone 4. Both have Google Maps pre-installed and its great. However, I went ga-ga over the 3D feature of the Apple Maps included on the iPhone 5. I was assured at the Apple Store that the Apple Maps can be downloaded into any older iPhone, but when I search for "Apple Maps", I see nothing? How can I download Apple Maps or must I purchase the iPhone 5? There must be another way.

The "new" feature of the Apple maps is in iOS 6. It is not a downloadable app from the App Store. To have/use the new Maps, you have to upgrade your iPhone to iOS 6.

Yup, and I'm pretty sure iOS 6 is not available for the 3GS.

Edit: I'm wrong. iOS 6 is available for th 3GS. Unfortunately, Flyover is not.

If you have a jailbroken device you could get it without iOS 6, I have it downloaded myself on iOS 6 as I was being stupid enough. You have to download this at your own risk though, if you do end up bricking your device some how, it's not my fault and I've already warned you.

1. Open Cydia.
2. Go to Manage.
3. Go to Sources.
4. Edit
5. Add the following repo "http://apt.Tekwik.com/"
6. Wait until it finishes adding the repo.
7. Press "Back to Cydia"
8. Scrow all the way down until you see "3D Maps Enabler."

Try that, it might work.
