Hi,

I imported a picture taken in 2015 on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 into my iPhone7+ when I got it in November 2017.

Now I want to delete this pic.

I can't.

In my iPhone7+ I tap Photos, tap Photos, tap Select, tap the pic I want to delete and I get a check mark on the pic but . . . the trash icon in the bottom-right of the iPhone's screen remains greyed out.

I've tried connecting my iPhone7+ to my Mac, opened iTunes, selected my iPhone7+ and . . .
there's no Photo's folder under my iPhone7+ in iTunes.

ARGGHH!!!

What to do?

Any help much appreciated!

Welcome to iPhone Forums!

If iCloud Photos is enabled on your iPhone (in Settings - Photos), you won’t get a Photos tab in iTunes. Disable it, just long enough to remove the image from your device, use iTunes to remove the picture, then turn iCloud Photos on again.

Hope that helps.

I went:

Settings > Photos

iCloud Photos is turned off.

What to try next?

Thanks!

In iTunes, did you select your iPhone in the sidebar under Devices?
What you need to choose is the iPhone icon that appears at the top left in iTunes when your device is plugged in.

Hi,

Yes, did that exactly.

Still no "Photos" folder under/in my iPhone7+ :

What next?

Thanks!

@ carolineM

"It appears to be under TV Shows."

Nope . . . nothing there . . . :-((

Now you see it, now you don't:

I got your reply, started iTunes, plugged in my iPhone7+, and that's the screenshot.

What happened to the Photo's folder under Library ??

Thanks!

There was Photos on your first screenshot:

Tap the iPhone icon at the top:

Then look for a Photos folder in the sidebar.
