Can you buy iPhone 5s from America and use them in the UK?

Hello guys,

I was wondering, if iPhone 5s' from the America work in the UK, some people buy their handsets from companies such as AT&T, Verizon and Sprint which are locked to them and then they auction them on the American eBay is their a way for them to be used in the UK on those companies, do those companies exist in the UK? Can you get legal unlocks for them? Will Factory Unlocked phones from the US work with carriers in the UK? I hope someone out in the world could answer these questions because I wouldn't want to get something which isn't legal or wouldn't work in a country.

Factory unlocked phones will work on any GSM network. The only issue you might have is with LTE networks. These are not the same all over the world and it appears there are different models for different parts of the world.

Well, we do have LTE Networks here in the UK and I think they might share the same cores as in the UK, I don't tend to use Data so LTE isn't a problem. But thanks for the help!
