Camera shortcut lockscreen not working...

Guys, what might be the problem why the shortcut of camera in lockscreen is not working. Everytime i try to tap it, it will open a little and close immediately.. It cant get through.. but using the camera icon in the home screen is working well.. no problem.. i even installed another camera app which is camera plus pro..

Because tapping it doesnt open it, however sliding it up does

+1... iOS 5.1.1 changed the Lockscreen Camera icon to a Slide Up gesture for activation. Tapping it will make the screen jump slightly... but the Slide Up is required to fully open your Camera app.
