Belkin adds new Boost Up wireless chargers to its line up.JPG

With CES 2018 happening in Las Vegas from next Tuesday, January 9, 9to5 Mac reports that Belkin has announced additions to its Boost Up range of Qi-standard wireless charging pads. The Apple Store currently only has two iPhone wireless chargers available, with one of those being Belkin’s first-generation Boost Up pad, so it’s good to see that the company is adding more choice to the range.

The Boost Up Qi charging pad range works with iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. The Boost Up Bold entry-level wireless charger comes in four colour choices (black, white, pink, and navy), and is compatible with charging speeds of up to 10W (iPhones can only go up to 7.5W, however). The new version of the Boost is also a little smaller than the Mark 1 version, another improvement on the original design.

Next up we have the Boost Up Wireless Charging Stand, which enables you to charge your iPhone upright in either portrait or landscape mode, so that you can watch a video or make a FaceTime call while your phone charges. I can see this being a very popular option.

Belkin has also added a Wireless Charging Car Mount to the range, which is an in-car holder that can be fixed to the windshield or dashboard of your car and keeps your iPhone snug while charging it at the same time.

If you’re someone who wants to charge more than one iPhone at the same time then Belkin now has just the product for you with its Dual Wireless Charging Pad, with 10W Qi charging on each pad.

And finally, Belkin has also added a commercial-grade Wireless Charging System that is designed for hotel, restaurant, and other public uses, along the lines of the wireless charging pads you can already find in outlets such as Starbucks.

Belkin has not revealed specific release dates or pricing details as yet, but it says that the Bold and Stand models could launch this spring or summer, and Mount, Dual, and System should all be available this summer.
