AppStore down??

I just bought the IPhone 4 today. Updated the iOS to 6. Then tried to sign into the AppStore and it keeps telling me that it can't connect to the AppStore. The care center said that the AppStore is down. Is everyone having AppStore issues or did they just tell me that?
