Apple's newest iPhones are in great demand, which makes them hard to find in stock. And it seems that thanks to this strong seasonal demand, Apple could ship over 71.5 million iPhones in quarter four, according to one reputed analyst.

KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that quarter-over-quarter Apple iPhone shipments will increase by 82 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014, reaching a total of more than 71.5 million units.

The iPhone 6 is predicted to account for around 60 percent of all sales for the quarter. Kuo also says that the 6 Plus supply shortage isn't just indicator of high demand, but also confirmation of production issues with supplier.

The analyst also predicts a major decrease in iPhone sales for the first quarter of 2015, due to poor off-season demand.
