When Apple announced its Beats 1 radio station, many folks out there were wondering why Apple is taking a "step back" in technology. However after the launch, the 24/7 radio station has proven to be somewhat of a huge success.

One of the problems that some many find is that Beats 1 is one of its kind. This means different music genres on the station need to appeal to everyone, or people will simply turn it off. Wouldn't it be nice to choose a specific genre?

A new report from The Verge claims that there's a possibility for us to see even more Beats stations. If you think about it, just the fact that Apple numbered its radio station should give you a hint.

The Verge points out that Apple's deal with music labels allows for up to five different radio stations without renegotiation. Apple of course put out Beats 1 to test the waters, but now that the ocean seems like a good place to be, it might be time to expand.
