Any good music player around? suggest me a music player

I just picked up an iPhone 4s to test drive and I'm not as impressed with the Music situation as I'd like/I expected.

Over at Windows Phone the default Music app that appeared with 8.1 was less than great, so it spawned a bunch of replacement apps, currently Core Player is my favored one and was almost perfect for my needs, save for some quirks. Anyways, there's no shortage of easy-to-find local music players that aren't bad, necessarily.

Now I'm looking for an app to play my locally synced music (I don't typically stream) as Apple Music

Any decent music apps, Apple has ruined the one on the phone. I don't want to have to tell the app every song I wanna play in a particular genre. I like to be able to just hit shuffle like I use to.
