Anomaly: Warzone Earth Tactical Battle Game Coming Soon to iOS

Polish developers 11 bit studios have released details and some very cool looking screenshots of their first game for iPhone and iPad, entitled Anomaly: Warzone Earth. Blending fast-paced, explosive action with tactical battlefield command, Anomaly puts players in charge of a military convoy fighting back against mysterious alien war machines that have started appearing in some of the world’s largest cities. Players get to support and assist their hand-picked squad, using the top-down tactical game view to plot their convoy’s each and every move. As you make your way through the story campaign and challenge modes, you can unlock upgrades and new units to build your ultimate destruction squad.

Here’s Grzegorz Miechowski, managing director of 11 bit studios, talking about the game:

Players don’t just command the convoy; they’re right there on the ground, walking alongside the units and assisting them in battle. The App Store isn’t exactly bursting at the seams with this sort of strategy game, so let’s hope it lives up to the promise of the screenshots because I’m sure there are plenty of iPhone and iPad owners out there who’d like to get stuck into such a game.
