9to5 Mac reports that Amazon has launched its Prime Now service in Manhattan, New York City this week, with the aim of helping its customers get their goods even quicker than usual.
Currently the service is only available in a few areas of Manhattan, and then only to Amazon Prime members, but Amazon says that it will be coming to other areas soon.
Amazon Prime Now offers many thousands of products across a wide range of categories. Customers can opt for either a one-hour or two-hour delivery, with the one-hour service costing $7.99. The two-hour service is completely free, aside from the initial cost of your Amazon Prime membership. For the two-hour deliver service you can pick any two-hour timeslot between 6 a.m. and midnight.
If you’re lucky enough to be in one of those select Manhattan locations, and are an Amazon Prime member, all you have to do to use the service is download the Prime Now app from the App Store, log in with your regular Amazon Prime account, tap your chosen items into your cart, and you’re all done!
