MacRumors reports today that according to Chinese-language Economic Daily News, the production cycles of Apple’s entire 2017 iPhone range are all experiencing delays.

The report says that the flagship OLED iPhone 8 will not enter production until sometime between November and December, and will only ship in small numbers this year. Meanwhile, the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus models are also expected to be delayed .

According to the sources, yield rates for the OLED iPhone 8 have yet to reach mass production stage at the main manufacturing plants. It seems that despite previous reports stating that volume production for the new iPhones had begun, yield rates at both Foxconn Electronics and Pegatron have not yet reached mass production levels.

There have been rumours about possible production delays for the new iPhone line-up for the past few months, but it is looking more and more likely that these rumours are actually true, with the OLED iPhone 8 in particular apparently proving to be very challenging to manufacture.
