6s plus memory problem

Can anyone tell me why when my phone won’t update anything because there is not enough memory and I check and it says I have 15.7 of 16 gb used, so I delete over 2gb of info and then I have only 15.6 fb out of 16 left. Math wasn’t my strongest suit but even I can tell something doesn’t add up right.

Did you reboot the iPhone after you deleted things?

Yes I did. Actually several times before I posted question. Had to delete several more apps to get down to 14. At least I can open the apps I have left and take a picture now. Think it’s time to upgrade to a phone with more memory.

Sure, 16GB really is hardly enough for the phone itself. You will always be up against your memory limit
